Field Work & Expeditionary Learning
Learning that extends beyond classroom walls.
Learning that extends beyond classroom walls.
Learning is intentionally designed to connect students with real experiences, real people, meaningful challenges, and authentic application.
Students have opportunities to participate in Wonder Workshops, field work, outdoor learning, community partnerships, service learning, entrepreneurship experiences, apprenticeships, and extended overnight expeditions.
We believe learning becomes more meaningful, memorable, and engaging when students can experience it, apply it, create with it, reflect on it, and connect it to life beyond school.
Children naturally learn through exploration, movement, curiosity, collaboration, storytelling, hands-on experiences, and meaningful connection.
Expeditionary learning helps students move beyond passive learning by engaging them in experiences that encourage them to investigate, solve problems, create meaningful work, collaborate with others, and connect learning to authentic experiences.
Field work and expeditionary learning are intentionally connected to academic standards, Wonder Workshops, competency learning, reflection, and real-world application.
