Hybrid/Flex Track
On-Campus & At-Home Learning Blend
On-Campus & At-Home Learning Blend
The PEAK Mastery Hybrid/Flex Track is designed for families seeking a more flexible and personalized educational experience while still remaining connected to strong academics, meaningful relationships, coaching support, and a collaborative school community.
This model blends intentional on-campus learning experiences with guided at-home learning, allowing students to benefit from both personalized flexibility and meaningful connection. Students participate in on-campus learning two days each week while continuing supported learning at home on additional days through projects, literacy and math development, Wonder Workshop extensions, goal setting, real-world learning experiences, and personalized growth opportunities.
The Hybrid/Flex Track is intentionally designed for families who value flexibility, partnership, student ownership, meaningful learning, and a more individualized educational experience while still wanting structure, accountability, guidance, and community support.
Rather than separating learning into completely independent homeschool or fully traditional school models, the Hybrid/Flex Track creates a collaborative partnership between students, families, and educators that allows learning to feel more personalized, flexible, connected, and meaningful over time.
The Hybrid/Flex Track is designed for families seeking greater flexibility while still remaining connected to a strong learning community and personalized academic support. This model blends on-campus learning with guided at-home learning, creating space for students to learn in ways that better fit their goals, interests, family rhythms, and individual needs.
Students continue to engage in the core principles of PEAK Mastery, including mastery-based learning, interdisciplinary Wonder Workshops, reflection, discussion, meaningful projects, and strong academic foundations. At the same time, the schedule allows for greater flexibility, independence, and opportunities for learning beyond the traditional classroom setting.
This track may be a good fit for families seeking more time for travel, entrepreneurship, athletics, internships, project-based learning, advanced pursuits, family-centered learning, or a learning environment that feels more balanced and adaptable to their child.
Rather than separating learning into “school” and “life,” the Hybrid/Flex Track is designed to intentionally connect the two — helping students build independence, ownership, real-world experience, and meaningful application of what they are learning.
The Hybrid/Flex Track is designed to create greater flexibility for families while still providing consistent academic support, strong relationships, and meaningful on-campus learning experiences.
Instead of organizing the school year around long uninterrupted semesters and a traditional calendar structure, the year is divided into six learning cycles, with the first cycle lasting five weeks and the remaining five cycles lasting six weeks. The school year still follows a familiar August through May timeframe with summer off, while creating a more intentional and balanced rhythm throughout the year.
The weekly schedule is also designed differently than a traditional five-day model. Students attend on-campus learning in smaller cohort groups two days per week, either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, from approximately 9:00 AM–2:30 PM.
These on-site days include interdisciplinary Wonder Workshops, Socratic discussions and Reading Adventures, electives, collaborative projects, presentations, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences. Students also participate in homeroom experiences focused on connection, reflection, journaling, emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation, and whole child development — helping create a learning environment that supports both academic growth and personal development.
The remaining weekdays provide opportunities for guided at-home learning, independent work, real-world experiences, field learning, passion projects, internships, family-centered learning, or additional personalized support depending on student needs and goals.
Fridays are intentionally designed to provide flexible learning pathways rather than a traditional one-size-fits-all school day. Families may choose from structured at-home learning, optional on-site support and workshops, or field work and real-world learning experiences depending on their student’s needs, goals, and learning plan. These flexible pathways allow students to pursue deeper learning, personalized projects, additional support, internships, clubs, community experiences, or independent work while still maintaining accountability and strong academic expectations.
Additional individualized support may also be available through Flexible Friday pathways, small group support opportunities, special education services, or personalized learning plans when needed.
At the end of each learning cycle, students participate in a Celebration of Learning where they reflect on their progress, showcase projects, presentations, and portfolios, and demonstrate understanding in meaningful ways. Families are invited to participate in these celebrations, helping strengthen the connection between learning, home, and community.
This structure is designed to provide students with both consistency and flexibility — supporting strong academic growth while also helping students build independence, responsibility, time management, and real-world learning skills.

Homeroom (Connection & Wellbeing)
A consistent start to the day focused on connection, emotional wellbeing, and readiness to learn. Students engage in practices like journaling, light movement, and group connection to help them feel grounded, supported, and prepared for the day ahead.
Each homeroom may include a larger group of students, supported by one coach and three aides. Students rotate through smaller groups of approximately 15, allowing for meaningful connection, individualized attention, and a supportive, community-centered environment.
Recess & Movement: Recess is intentionally designed to include both unstructured play and guided physical activity. Students may participate in group games that promote cooperation, coordination, and understanding of game rules, reinforcing skills developed in physical education.
In addition, regular movement throughout the day supports nervous system regulation, allowing students to release energy, improve attention, and return to academic work in a more focused and regulated state.
Lunch (Leadership & Life Skills):
Lunch is designed as a community-based learning experience where students contribute to food preparation, service, and cleanup. Students may earn a food handler’s permit while developing responsibility, collaboration, and practical life skills.
The program emphasizes whole, nutrient-dense foods and includes nutrition education to help students build lifelong healthy habits and understand the connection between food, energy, and learning.
Wonder Workshops:
Wonder Workshops are interdisciplinary, project-based learning experiences structured as expeditionary-style deep dives into real-world topics. Students integrate core academic subjects, including math, literacy, science, and social studies, within meaningful and applied contexts.
These experiences are enriched through music, storytelling, art, history, journaling, and social-emotional learning, supporting both academic growth and the development of the whole child.
Workshops typically range from 1–6 weeks depending on the topic, and students may participate in multiple workshops throughout a semester. Each workshop is designed to maintain smaller group sizes (approximately 20 students) to support collaboration, engagement, and individualized attention. Students experience a combination of core workshops and opportunities for choice, allowing them to explore areas of interest while ensuring a well-rounded education.
Electives (Deep Learning Cycles):
Students focus on one elective at a time in six-week cycles, allowing for deeper exploration, skill development, and creativity. This structure supports sustained engagement and meaningful growth in each area.
Socratic Discussions & Reading Adventures:
Reading becomes an adventure as students explore stories together through lively discussions, games, and shared experiences. Socratic discussions help students think deeply and share ideas, while fun, interactive reading activities help them build confidence and develop a love for books.
Homeroom Reconnection:
A short end-of-day check-in where students reflect with their coach on their experiences, including successes and challenges. This time strengthens relationships and supports emotional awareness and growth.
