Two Pathways. One PEAK Mastery Education.
Families differ in how much flexibility, at-home involvement, and on-site support they want from their child’s education. PEAK Mastery offers two learning pathways so families can choose the structure that best fits their child and family while remaining part of one school community.
Both pathways are built on the same PEAK Mastery learning model. Students work toward the same Utah Core-aligned competencies and mastery expectations, build a relationship with a PEAK Mastery coach, participate in hands-on and interdisciplinary learning, and have opportunities to connect learning to the real world.
The primary difference is where and how learning time is distributed.
More time learning on campus, with room to extend learning beyond it.
Students participate in four days of scheduled on-site learning plus one Extended Learning Experience (ELE) day.
This pathway provides greater on-site structure while maintaining opportunities for personalized learning, field experiences, community learning, projects, enrichment, and other ELEs.
Best suited for families looking for a more school-based learning experience while still wanting PEAK Mastery's flexible, hands-on, mastery-focused approach.
More flexibility at home with continued school connection, support, and accountability.
Students attend two scheduled on-site days plus three Extended Learning Experience (ELE) days each week. On-site days are intentionally focused on experiences that benefit from being together: Wonder Workshops, hands-on learning, collaboration, electives, coaching, community, and academic support.
On their ELE days, students continue their education off-site with family support. Math and literacy are primarily completed off-site using school-approved curriculum and resources, with some flexibility for families to choose approaches that fit their learner while ensuring required academic standards are covered.
PEAK Mastery coaches remain involved in monitoring progress, supporting families, and helping ensure students are progressing toward the same mastery expectations as studnets in the 4-Day On-Site Pathway.
Best suited for families who want a more active role and greater flexibility in when, where, and how learning happens while maintaining the support and accountability of a public school.
